Prayer: Emotions

Lord Jesus,

Thank you for creating me in your likeness. Thank you for giving me a mind and a will to serve you with genuine love and affection in my heart. Lord, we your servants, so look forward to the day when you bless your people with the singleness of heart as described in the Scripture.

The time when our hearts and minds will not be tainted by human nature but will be filled with an everlasting and unending joy to love and serve only you Lord! 

Father, you are so gracious... So wonderful... And so beyond worthy to be praised.

We thank you Lord, our God... With all that we are, we thank you and ask humbly that you guard our hearts and souls against this wide array of emotions we have the tendency to feel. While happiness and joy are desired, Lord the most important thing we want to feel is devotion to you. With that, in your love and great generosity, you grant us the feeling of peace and internal joy anyways.

So Father, we leave this at your feet and offer you all the praise, honor, and glory.
