Rainbows!

Have you ever seen the movie Twister? You know... the one where the people are storm chasers and they go around searching for tornadoes to follow....

Well I've always considered myself a rainbow chaser 😏 lol I'm always on the lookout for these magnificent moments in time.

Now I realize that technically and scientifically speaking, rainbows are the aftermath of light and water vapor (and someone can probably even get into the whole white light & prisms thing). I also understand that in this day and age, rainbows have adapted an entirely new identity ... While I'm not here to yay or nay on that subject matter because it's all about loving others as Jesus did, I am going to remind everyone of the true and original meaning behind those ambient stripes of color in the sky 🌈😌

Now if you haven't already read in your Bible the story of Noah and the ark, now might be a good time to do so (Genesis 6:9-22, 7:1-24, 8:1-22, 9:1-17). Apart from the many messages and points of wisdom to be gained from the recount of Noah's life, we are shown the groundwork behind the true and original meaning of God's symbol.

After everything had happened as God told Noah that it would, and Noah obeyed all of God's commands... He made a covenant with him (Genesis 9:8-11). He promised Noah that the earth would never again destroy by the force of flooding waters. 

To seal that covenant, as Noah accepted it in the presence of God's Spirit, the Lord blessed the earth with the rainbow. How amazing 😍

Obviously, I'm drawn to like rainbows because they are pretty and unique and quite rare in most places... But the real reason I find amazement in them is because of this story. It is a true sign that our God is very much real. He still sees us and is even so to this day holding true to everything that He has promised to His people! We love the Lord and His love for us is unsurpassed.

Just think, if He has created and given us the wonderful beauty of rainbows, just imagine what our everlasting home will be like when Christ's kingdom is with man 🥰 A new Heaven and a new earth.. that's right 🙌🏽 Praise the Lord.
